šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Wayfair E-commerce Operations Specialist - Inventory Management, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes, from receipt of goods to customer delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Logistics, to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for process improvement.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking of stock levels, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts, overstocking, and dead stock.
- Analyze inventory metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive process improvements.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in inventory management.
- Work with Logistics team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Continuously monitor and improve inventory management processes to ensure compliance with Wayfair's quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key inventory metrics and provide visibility into inventory performance.
- Provide support and guidance to team members to ensure successful completion of inventory-related tasks.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, operations, or supply chain analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with inventory management software and tools, such as TradeGecko or Zoho.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Certification in supply chain management, such as APICS or CSCP.
- Experience working in e-commerce or retail industry.
- Familiarity with cloud-based inventory management systems.
